Terms of use
1. Who we are
Brickbrag is run by DIE ANTWORT · Büro für Informationstechnik GmbH, Obere Weißgerberstraße 4, 1030 Vienna, Austria (“we”, “us” – details in the imprint). Questions: hello@brickbrag.com.
2. The game is free
- Brickbrag is a free online game in the browser. You pay nothing to play and you can buy nothing in it.
- Bricks, coins, land and everything else in the game are part of the game. They have no money value, cannot be bought for money and cannot be paid out or exchanged for money or anything outside the game.
- Brickbrag is young and still changing. We may change the game and its rules, and we may reset worlds – with everything in them, accounts, bricks, coins and land included. We tell players beforehand where we can.
3. Your account
- You play under a name you choose. Your account lives in your browser – there is no email and no password. If you clear your browser's data or switch devices, your account may be gone; we cannot get it back.
- Your name must be fine for everybody: no insults, nothing sexual, no hate, no real people's names you do not own, no names of brands you do not represent. We may change a name that is not.
- If you are under 14, ask a parent or guardian before you play.
4. Play fair and friendly
Brickbrag is played by children and grown-ups together. Not allowed:
- insulting, threatening or harassing others; hate and discrimination; sexual content; violence;
- building or writing anything illegal or unsuitable for children, in bricks or in chat;
- advertising and spam (links in the chat reach nobody but you);
- cheating: bots, scripts, modified clients, using bugs on purpose, flooding the server;
- pretending to be someone else, or to be us.
We may remove builds and messages, take land back, reset an account or keep someone out of the game – for a while or for good – when these rules are broken. Found a bug? Please tell us instead of using it.
5. What you build
- The world is shared. On public land others may take your bricks apart (they go back to you); only your own land is protected. That is part of the game, not a defect.
- You allow us to show what you build in the game, in screenshots and videos of it, and on our own pages and channels about the game – free of charge, also after you stopped playing.
6. Availability and liability
We run Brickbrag with care, but we cannot promise that it is always online or free of errors. We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence and personal injury; otherwise only for breaching essential duties and only for damage that is typical and foreseeable. The rights consumers have under mandatory law stay unaffected.
7. Changes and law
We may change these terms; the version on this page applies from when we publish it. Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules; if you are a consumer, the mandatory protection of the country you live in stays yours.
